It really is amazing to have the animals grazing so early in the year. Most years we hope to be grazing by May 15th knowing that we need to have enough hay in case the pastures aren't ready by then. This year we were able to start giving them fresh pasture by the beginning of April. There isn't enough grass that they've given up eating hay too yet, but we all enjoy the start of the season--including the walk down the lane to move the fence in the morning and evening.
