It's fun to watch the chickens out in the pastures to see what interests them. A blade of grass here, a bit of clover there. They seem most excited when an insect catches their eye. You'll see them racing across the ground to catch it.
I watched one jump to catch this swallowtail, but the butterfly was too fast and swiftly flew out of range of the chicken's little hop.
