Our last big snowfall turned part of the steer pasture into an ice rink after a couple days of drizzle and warmer temperatures.
Since our steers are not skilled skaters--as far as we know, we've been driving their water out to them in jugs again
rather than risk a fall as they try to make their way up the treacherous path to the water tank we've been filling by hose.
Temperatures are back above freezing now with highs in the 50s and 60s.
In a few days the ice and snow should be gone leaving a clear path to the water tank and making chores a little simpler again. Hooray for warmer weather!
